EPIC SPRINT FINAL - NATIONALS
REPRESENT
Representation from 11 States with 87 participants in the Nationals category and 93 in the Open category. Athletes competed for the gold in various categories of SUP Races, Sprint Race (200 meters), Technical Race (2 km) & Distance Race (12 km). The highlight of the event was the game changing sprint race where tables turned for the leading athlete and a new charger won the sprint after 9 years of dominance in the category, although the titles for distance & technical were still head strong by a fair margin. The Groms (U16) category showed some power packed performance with two medals being won by the Waterbabies from the Ocean Ambassadors Foundation on their home turf. Promising development of SUP athletes from the west coast with medals being won in a number of categories.
